I wake up thinking about ALL that I want to get done.
I create a check list in my mind and feel the weight of it.
Then…from a deeper, wiser part of myself I hear, that’s one perspective, how about another?
Okay…another perspective – I’m so blessed to be able to create my own schedule. Today I get to write my blog, practice piano and go to my piano lesson, talk with the tax accountant, attend a virtual quest, hang out with my husband, and pet my adorable cat.
My new perspective soothes like a soft caress.
As the self-imposed weight lifts genuine gratitude comforts me, much like a sweet lullaby.
I chant the truth – I get to, I get to.
I pull back the covers. I stand up, and in joyful acknowledgment I belt out, “This is my day. And I get to choose how I live it!”
From burden to blessing…
And all it took was a different perspective.
Friend, our lives are our perspectives.
Think about it. How do you perceive your relationships, your health, your money, your gifts, your time?
Do you have an area in your life that you feel burdened by?
If so, how can you change your perspective to turn your burden into a blessing?
How you perceive is what you receive – be it a burden or a blessing.
I’ll close with this quote by Harvey Mackey: “When you wake up every day, you have two choices. You can either be positive or negative; an optimist or a pessimist. I choose to be an optimist. It’s all a matter of perspective.”
Thanks for being here with me.
In loving gratitude,
Gloria
